Working
with Diversity
Our courses based on working with diversity have generally been
specifically tailored to organisational needs, often focussing
on teams, divisions or task groups. Our aim on these courses is
to assist participants to understand how values and ethics impact
on their work, to examine how discrimination and oppression function
within society, to explore labelling and prejudice and look at
how these affect particular groups and/or individuals. Overall
these courses seek to assist staff to promote equality by identifying
the key principles of managing diversity and anti-discriminatory
practice. These 2 or 3 day courses are designed to encourage staff
to consider where their values and ethics derive. They examine
ideology, social divisions, racism and equality, using a range
of didactic and discursive exercises to encourage staff to turn
anti-discriminatory statements into practice and work to promote
equality through their individual and organisational work.

Please note that working with
diversity is incorporated across all other training programmes
offered by Delight Training and can be further tailored as
target population needs dictate.
