Supervision Skills

These courses are provided for staff within the Criminal Justice Field, working with clients groups to enhance compliance rates. Whilst there is evidence for the efficacy of various approaches in current criminal justice practices, this evidence only applies to those offenders who can be engaged appropriately so that they can complete treatment plans. This course aims to enhance staff skills to ensure increases in completions rates for both accredited programmes and day to day supervision. The course offers insights into best practice including assessing need, setting attainable goals, pro- social responses, assessing and maintaining motivation levels and assertive but responsive resolution of non compliance.

This event is suitable for all staff directly involved in supervision of offenders. It can also be run as a one day event for staff involved in supporting the supervision process.
